Wyatt's Milestone!

This little guy is Wyatt.

With all going on through the holidays one of our pediatric buddies celebrated a milestone about a month back.

Wyatt has been a client of Gilead Ministries since the fall of 2012, first as one of our Facebook Heroes and then later getting encouragement cards.

Click here to check out Wyatt's early days as a chemo patient when he was first diagnosed. It's been over 2 years now and what is just amazing is that after all the bumps in the road, he has now achieved a milestone that many families pray for, one year anniversary after transplant.

Wyatt is much like many young boys, with a dog by his side by the name of Brutus and believe it or not, a desire to go out and play in the snow.

Here's what mom said about this most recent milestone, "Today is a very special day!!! Last year on this day we were in the hospital waiting for Wyatt's bone marrow to arrive from Germany so he could have his transplant. Today we get to say WYATT IS A BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT SURVIVOR!!! SO HAPPY HAPPY 1ST RE-BIRTHDAY TO OUR SPECIAL WYATT!!! WE LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH!! We thank God for the kind woman from Germany for giving Wyatt the best gift ever...his second chance of life! — feeling blessed."

Continue to pray for Wyatt and his family, as most pediatric cancer patients, they live in the shadow of a relapse and when it comes time for appointments, they get "scanxiety". We are thankful for the opportunity to Share the Journey with Wyatt and his family.
